High Creativity

The article, "TSA: Woman arrested at JFK Airport with guns, pot," (Link to article) describes the latest fiasco of drug smuggling in New York City.  A woman, reportedly traveling from Canada to Barbados, was in possession of two disassembled .40 caliber pistols and 33 pounds of marijuana.  After having a baggage check, TSA agents found boxes of kitty litter, laundry tablets, and baby wipes packed with the illegal items.  The woman was arrested on the spot.

This story impacts the whole international airline community.  Drug smuggling has been a major issue in our country, as well as others, but it is becoming more prominent in the United States.
I feel good that the TSA agents caught that woman because it helps to show that we as a nation are still against drugs (for the most part).  I am left with a positive feeling that our national security at airports are still performing their jobs to their fullest extent.

  1. I don't understand how she thought she could get away with all that at an airport, are people really that stupid? But how did she manage to get on a plane in Canada with all that stuff, does Canada even have airport security? Makes you wonder how many thousands of pounds of drugs actually make it across our land/sea borders, I mean, all the illegal hard drugs people use have to come from somewhere. Awesome title too!

  2. I find it funny that this woman thought she could get through airport security with illegal items. The last time I flew with my family we couldn't take a small bottle of lotion with us on the plane, so the fact that she had pistols, drugs, and other illegal items with the hope of traveling across borders is astonishing. However, I do believe that drug smuggling is a big problem in our country, and I am happy that the TSA and security we have in place is helping stop this issue.

  3. I think people that attempt to smuggle drugs through extensively monitored areas such as airports are extremely stupid or desperate--most like stupid. I don't understand how someone could be so naïve to think that they could get away with an illegal activity that is so heavily monitored. It astounds me.

  4. HAHAHAHAHA I think this lady lost "what are the odss". This artice is pointless. The only thing it really proves is that unfortunately our country is always under attack. If TSA couldn't track this lady's goody bag of random, illegal crap, then we would have issues.
